5 Ways to Become an Internet Affiliate Programs Failure

Most people seem to think that you become an affiliate and income is automatic. This is probably due to the wonderful marketing techniques of systems designed to appeal to those who are looking for get rich quick opportunities. Chances are that even if you know better than to believe this nonsense, you could learn volumes by studying how the marketing and presentation was put together.

The number one way to fail at Internet affiliate programs is the desire to make money doing nothing.

"Plug it in and make thousands while you sleep and play!" This propaganda is an excellent marketing strategy that only works if you are the person with the product for sale. It appeals to the basic human trait known as greed. Being able to have everything you want without having to lift a finger is not what affiliate marketers do but it may be the ticket to their next cash cow.

The second reason a lot of people fail as affiliates is because they do not plan.

All effective marketing campaigns require a step by step strategy.

From concept to execution, successful Internet affiliate programs are presentations that were well researched. Some of you may understand the reasoning behind research but lack the organization to see the whole picture clearly. You might try compiling your data and market measurements in a spreadsheet program like Excel. Here you can enter images, photos and information plus do mathematical calculations without shifting between programs. Excel can really be a bonus at getting your odds and ends organized.

The third reason a majority of new marketers fail is because they aren't determined.

It takes a great deal of commitment to become a successful Internet affiliate. Programs are designed that will fit anyone's needs and interests. Your task as an affiliate is to not only work hard at what you do, but to work smart as well. The first few product promotions you put together will probably need a lot of tweaking before they begin to make money. Only those determined to figure out the secret to what makes Internet marketing work will stay around long enough to ride the cash cow.

The fourth reason that many marketers aren't making money is psychology.

In order to make a lot of money with Internet affiliate programs you have to know your target buyer. Not personally, but you must discover the following:

• Who they are?

o age, income, profession, family size, ethnic background, etc.

• What do they want?

o Are you offering a solution or
o Fulfilling a basic human need

• When are they most apt to buy?

o On impulse
o In desperation
o After they shop around awhile

The fifth reason many marketers fail with Internet affiliate programs is they chase the target.
What is the first reaction when you realize someone is chasing you? Right! They run like the devil is after them. Work smart and when you get it right, all you need to do is:

• Proper research
• Solid campaign building
• Positioned in front of the money
• Watch the conversions come to you.
